Function
Due to continued growth, our client is looking for a Production Engineer to join the Production Engineering team. In this role, you’ll convert design files into cutting files and add logistical data for production. You’ll collaborate with various departments and help with projects in the early stages of shipbuilding.
- Create cutting files based on engineering drawings
- Interpret shipbuilding methods and machining processes.
- Generate production data with a focus on manufacturability, including panel layouts and build plans.
- Support with external assignments as needed.
- Collaborate with departments such as Engineering and production.
- Work in and maintain several CAD systems.
- Provide project updates to relevant stakeholders regarding progress and quality.
Requirements
- MBO/MBO+ level education in Shipbuilding or related field.
- Experience in a work preparation or similar role in a shipbuilding environment
- Understanding of production workflows, manufacturing methods, and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with CAD systems is a plus.
- Open to learning on the job.
