Ship Lifecycle Engineer

Function

In this position you will be responsible for ensuring naval systems meet rigorous technical standards, creating scalable maintenance solutions and developing asset management and logistics technologies to improve fleet readiness and minimize downtime for ships.

Specific duties in this role include:

  • Create
    innovative support and training programs that keep the ships ready for action
    and minimize downtime.

  • Connect
    the lifecycle systems with existing infrastructure to ensure smooth data
    exchange.
  • Work
    closely with various teams, understand and translate business needs into
    practical solutions aligned with the company goals.
  • Implement
    security best practices to protect sensitive data and meet regulatory
    standards.
  • Provide
    guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure best practices in technology,
    design and implementation.
  • Monitor
    system performance, identify areas for improvement and implement optimizations.


Requirements

For the Ship Lifecycle Engineer position we are looking for candidates that have at least 5 years of experience in lifecycle support management, ideally within naval, maritime or defense industries. Furthermore, the following requirements should be met:

  • Professional education on Bachelor or Master level, preferably in IT, engineering or other technical study.
  • Experience in configuration management, data security and integration of support systems, with knowledge of naval operations, maintenance and maritime regulations (ILS and LCM knowledge preferred).
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English language. Speaking Dutch is a strong asset.

Offer

The company offers you all necessary trainings to develop yourself along with 38 holiday days per year. The base salary for this position depends on your experience and capabilities. Furthermore, we provide all assistance to candidates who relocate to the Netherlands.
