Senior Engineer – Yacht Projects
Are you a skilled engineer with a drive for innovation and excellence? We are looking for a Senior Engineer to strengthen a team and support the development of high-end yacht projects.
Function
In this position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical solutions on time, contributing directly to the design and engineering of custom-built luxury yachts. You will act as a technical lead within your team, working closely with other disciplines to ensure smooth coordination, feasibility, and compliance throughout the engineering process.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading final design, detailed engineering, and 3D modeling with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Supporting and coaching a team of engineers and junior staff, including conducting technical reviews and inspections.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, classification rules, and flag state regulations.
- Working with various departments to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Reviewing and validating engineering drawings and documentation before release.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of engineering methods and tools.
- Coordinating technical aspects with suppliers, subcontractors, and production teams.
- You will also support the Senior Project Engineer on specific projects, providing expertise and guidance where needed.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Interior or any other field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in shipbuilding engineering.
- Strong knowledge of 3D AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Experience with exterior components, equipment integration, and moving parts on yachts.
- Familiarity with onboard systems, cable and panel layout, and weight management.
- A deep understanding of yacht construction and production processes.
- An analytical mindset with a focus on delivering top-quality results.
