Regional Sales Manager (100k)
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Regional Sales Manager to lead a team in Northern Europe.
Function
This role leads the regional sales teams in Northern Europe, guiding both field and office-based staff to achieve sales and margin targets. The Regional Sales Manager will oversee all stages of the sales process, from initial prospecting to order fulfillment and after-sales support, while building strong, long-term customer relationships. This position is crucial in identifying growth sectors, shaping sales strategies, and supporting the business’s expansion goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the Northern Europe sales team to reach and exceed performance targets.
- Identify potential growth sectors and channels, making strategic recommendations on investments and resources necessary to achieve growth and maximize market share.
- Collaborate with the European Sales Management team to develop and implement regional and cross-market strategies, including product portfolio adjustments for profitability.
- Oversee key accounts by building and maintaining professional relationships with high-value, repeat customers across the region.
- Develop and monitor KPIs and targets, implementing corrective actions where deviations arise to ensure continuous achievement of sales goals.
- Manage the pricing policy for the region, aligning with overall business objectives, and contribute to the company’s competitive positioning within the market.
- Actively contribute to the company’s Senior Leadership Team, participating in monthly meetings and driving company objectives forward.
- Recommend new market segments and sales processes that align with the strategic growth goals of the business.
- Collaborate with the European strategy team to drive comprehensive regional plans, sharing viewpoints that influence sales strategies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of senior-level sales management experience, ideally managing a team with a minimum turnover of €10 million.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies with tangible results.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication, fluent in English and an additional European language preferred.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to present reports confidently and perform root cause analysis for process improvement.
- This role requires travel throughout the defined regional territory, with a minimum of one day monthly in the Rotterdam office.
