Function
We are looking for an experienced Project Leader to oversee the design, engineering, and calculation processes required for custom-built superyachts, ensuring the integrity of the naval architectural design throughout the project lifecycle.
Specific tasks in this role:
- Lead and manage new construction projects from concept to delivery.
- Create and coordinate naval architectural calculations, drawings, and analyses.
- Manage and support a team of Engineers.
- Serve as the main point of contact for shipbuilding integrity, overseeing aspects like weight and stability control, hydrodynamics, propulsion, comfort, and noise & vibrations.
- Collaborate with internal managers and other stakeholders.
- Integrate new techniques and technologies into the design process.
Requirements
- BSc/MSc in Naval Architecture.Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Naval Architect in new construction projects, preferably in ship or yacht construction.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in managing engineering teams.
- Knowledge of hydromechanics, ship safety, and regulations.
- Proficiency in English, with Dutch as a plus.
