Project Engineer – Luxury Yacht Engineering

Do you have a strong engineering background and a passion for building cutting-edge yachts? We are looking for a Project Engineer to lead engineering activities within a specific technical discipline for high-end yacht construction.

Function

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the design and engineering process for your discipline. You’ll work closely with engineers from other fields, ensuring coordination and consistency across the project, and serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Your role will involve:

• Taking ownership of the engineering scope within your discipline, ensuring it meets the required quality, timeline, and budget.
• Preparing and reviewing detailed designs, specifications, and 3D models in line with class and flag requirements.
• Providing technical guidance to your team and solving complex engineering problems.
• Promoting smooth collaboration between engineering disciplines.
• Coaching and guiding junior and senior engineers to maintain high standards and support their development.
• Acting as a liaison with the client’s representatives to ensure alignment and address design-related challenges.
• Contributing to the refinement of engineering processes and driving continuous innovation.

Requirements

• A degree (Bachelor or Master) in Mechanical, Electrical, Naval Engineering, Maritime Technology, Interior or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the shipbuilding industry.
• Proven ability to lead an engineering team.
• Familiarity with 3D AutoCAD.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
• Strong technical understanding of yacht construction, systems integration, and production workflows.
• You are a confident communicator who can adapt your approach depending on your audience.
