Combat Systems Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer specialized in Combat Systems for the shipbuilding industry.

Function

As the future Combat Systems Engineer you will work within a team of engineers and technical specialists, ensuring the successful integration of combat systems. This role involves analyzing system specifications, coordinating with subcontractors, and supporting project execution.

Responsibilities:

• Review and improve Combat Systems packages based on specifications.
• Coordinate project activities related to subcontractor deliverables.
• Support subcontractors and suppliers during project preparation and execution.
• Define and validate functional and physical interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with technical requirements and specifications.
• Deliver high-quality engineering input for proposals and production.
• Participate in contractual milestones, tests, and trials (FAT, HAT, SAT).
• Assist with warranty issues when needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in engineering or subcontract management of complex (combat) systems, preferably in shipbuilding or offshore.
• Experience working with engineers, suppliers, and project managers.
• Understanding of engineering concepts and V-model practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English (written & spoken).
• Willingness to travel occasionally for project support.
