Combat Systems Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer specialized in Combat Systems for the shipbuilding industry.

Function

As the future Engineer Combat Systems, you will support the design, installation, verification, maintenance and refits of above and underwater sensor systems, defense, command and control systems on our client’s vessels.

Specific duties in this role include:

• Analyzing and revising basic and detailed combat systems for new builts and refits
• Performing improvements for the basic or detailed combat systems packages and being in close collaboration with the technical teams
• Supporting the subcontractors and suppliers’ contribution to the project during preparation and execution
• Ensuring full compliance with all applicable requirements and specifications
• Acting as support for the proposal, engineering and production departments
• Participating in tests and trials and all the steps of the project
• Assisting when needed the warranty authority

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering combined with at least 3 years of experience in complex combat systems in the shipbuilding or defense industry
• Understanding in a variety of engineering concepts (V-model) and practices
• Experience with working in complex project environments
• Good command of the Dutch and English language (written and verbal)
• Willingness and flexibility to travel abroad when needed
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.

Offer

The company offers you all necessary training to develop yourself along with 38 holiday days per year. The base salary for this position depends on your experience and capabilities. Furthermore, we provide all assistance to candidates who relocate to the Netherlands.
