Business Analyst Engineering

Are you the bridge between the Engineering and IT and do you excel in optimizing complex systems? Then, please take a closer look at this position!

Function

In this position you will play a key role in managing the business applications used by the engineering department of a leading company in the maritime industry. You will work together with engineers, IT specialists and suppliers to gather and document requirements, specifications and workflows.

Specific duties in this role include:

  • Analyse engineering workflows and data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and propose solutions to boost productivity and reduce costs.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of engineering decisions and suggest cost-effective options.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Engineering and IT, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Support the adoption of new systems, processes, and technologies to drive change.
  • Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation, including project plans and process flows.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate that has hands-on experience with project management tools. Additionally, the following requirements should be met:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of three years of professional experience.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools, project management processes, IT platforms, and software development.
  • Previous experience in maritime or other complex engineering projects is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in English. Speaking Dutch is a strong asset.
