Functie

As a Propulsion System Expert, you’ll be responsible for supporting internal teams with all aspects of maintenance, troubleshooting and improvements for the propulsion systems on vessels. Your main focus will be ensuring that the equipment is maintained to the highest standard for long-term reliability. You’ll work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, managing maintenance plans, work orders and collaborating with suppliers.

• Act as the main point of contact for suppliers and repair facilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all maintenance and repair work is well-prepared and aligned with safety standards.
• Keep informed about new developments in propulsion systems for ships.
• Develop and implement standards for maintaining propulsion systems and related equipment.
• Establish guidelines for efficient and cost-effective repairs.
• Provide technical input to the Reliability and R&D teams.

Voorwaarden

• Engineering degree in electromechanics, maritime engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in marine propulsion systems and maintenance.
• Strong technical background and expertise in propulsion systems.
• Proactive, communicative, and collaborative attitude.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Willingness to work in the office (80% of the time) and on-site during project execution phases.
• Flexible to relocate to Belgium.
