Functie
In this position, you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of the construction process of building a ship or a part of the ship, supporting various disciplines such as structural, piping, outfitting, mechanical. You will lead a team of supervisors, implementing detailed plans to improve the productivity of the shipbuilding process. This is a permanent position based in South Holland.
Specific duties in this role include:
- Manage all production activities in a shipbuilding project, making sure they stay within budget, on schedule, and meet quality standards.
- Provide innovative solutions for all processes during shipbuilding.
- Advise on and contribute to the development of the building strategy, sequence, and execution approach for shipbuilding projects.
- Lead a team of supervisors, ensuring they possess the necessary qualifications and capacity to meet project demands.
- Supervise the actual construction process, delegating tasks and coordinating the activities of supervisors and subcontractors.
- Manage activities through registration, analysis, verification, evaluation, and the implementation of corrective measures.
Voorwaarden
For the Project Manager Production, we are looking for candidates having a very good understanding of all phases of the production process. Furthermore, the following requirements should be met:
- Professional education on Bachelor or Master level, preferably in Maritime Engineering, Naval Architecture or other technical study.
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience within the manufacturing environment, preferably in shipbuilding or ship repair industry.
- Strong personal time management, planning, and analytical skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiar with CAD systems.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English language. Speaking Dutch is a strong asset.
- Available for significant business travel and /or working abroad for a long duration.
