Business Development Representative

Functie

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and expanding the customer base within the maritime sector. You will identify potential clients, develop strategies to approach them, and convert prospects into loyal customers. Additionally, you will maintain strong relationships with existing clients and collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to achieve growth targets. Your commercial insight and knowledge of the maritime market will enable you to seize new opportunities and contribute to the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and approach potential clients and partners within the maritime sector.
  • Actively generate leads through market research, networking events, and digital platforms.
  • Execute commercial strategies to secure new customers.
  • Visit clients and attend networking events to build sustainable relationships.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns.
  • Prepare quotes and commercial proposals.

Voorwaarden

To succeed in this role, we require the following qualifications and skills:

  • A completed technical or commercial MBO (secondary vocational education) degree.
  • At least 1 year of work experience and a clear interest in sales and the maritime sector.
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel) and ERP systems.
  • Residency in the Rotterdam, Hoeksche Waard, or Voorne-Putten region.
  • Strong command of English and preferable Dutch.
