Project Manager – Shipbuilding projects

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager with international experience in complex shipbuilding projects.

Function

As the future Project Manager, you will handle technical, regulatory and logistical challenges in a demanding environment. Regular travel abroad and flexibility are essential.

Specific duties in this role include:

• Managing medium-sized projects to ensure that all engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain activities are in line with the timeline, quality standards, and budget
• Creating and managing the project plans, such as resource allocation and monitoring progress
• Being responsible with team management and ensuring the team is working efficiently towards the project plans
• Coordinating and establishing clear communication with external stakeholders
• Being in charge of testing, trials, and commissioning of the naval training facilities
• Ensuring the project meets all applicable standards, regulations, and specifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline (engineering, shipbuilding, or similar) combined with a project management certification like IPMA C or an equivalent
• Experience in managing complex international projects, preferably in shipbuilding or defense with multi-site manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of and experience with management principles and techniques
• Good command of the ad English language (written and verbal), German is considered a plus
• Willingness and flexibility to travel abroad when needed
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.

Offer

The company offers you all necessary training to develop yourself along with 38 holiday days per year. The base salary for this position depends on your experience and capabilities. Furthermore, we provide all assistance to candidates who relocate to the Netherlands.
