Piping Systems Engineer (shipbuilding)

Function

As a Piping Systems Engineer, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team carrying out various tasks such as analysing specifications, creating engineering models, and ensuring that all piping systems are designed to meet high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You will play a key role in supporting complex maritime projects from conception through to successful completion.

Specific duties in this role include:

• Review and assess technical requirements for piping systems.
• Create and model basic engineering packages for piping systems in a 3D environment.
• Develop detailed engineering designs and production information.
• Provide technical support and advice to internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews and propose improvements.

Requirements

• Technical bachelor or master degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the engineering of piping systems (ships or offshore installations are both an advantage).
• Competence in 2D and 3D CAD-systems, with hands-on experience in modelling and designing complex piping systems.
• Experience in working on high-end vessels, managing complex projects, and ensuring compliance with statutory bodies and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
