Tender Engineer
We are looking for a skilled Tender Engineer to join our client’s Proposals department and be part of a multicultural and innovative environment.
Function
The future Tender Engineer will be responsible for the concept design of the mechanical systems of our client’s special vessels (propulsion, HVAC or auxiliary systems). The position is part of the multidisciplinary project team that works in close collaboration with engineering and production departments.
Specific duties in this role include:
- Being responsible for the definition of the general system architecture, main ships balances and system configurations
- Making the weight, power and cost estimations of the projects
- Helping the team to make requirements analysis and drafting marine engineering specifications
- Writing technical documentation, contract specifications, and reports
- Supporting the cost evaluations provided by suppliers and internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Marine Engineering combined with at least one year of relevant experience in marine engineering design concepts
- Ability to write and deliver compelling text, figures and calculations that encompass specific technical details
- A commercial mind-set able to deliver viable yet attractive technical and financial forecasts
- Good command of English, written and spoken and willingness to learn Dutch as a second language
- Availability to travel abroad occasionally
